Amazon is seeking a dynamic, organized, self-starter to join our Human Resources team in Los Angeles, CA. This Senior Human Resources Business Partner will support our Prime Video, IMDb, Ads and Music teams.
The Sr. HRBP will develop and support HR strategies that support business objectives including areas such as organizational development, talent management, performance coaching, training and development, employee relations, and engagement. To be successful in this role, you will need to demonstrate analytical capabilities and be able coach and influence business leaders at all levels while assisting them and the organization to become more effective.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
• Review and analyze data to identify trends and recommend solutions to improve performance, retention, and the employee experience
• Partner with HR team to support the Studios team' initiatives, leverage corporate programs, and drive annual processes such as talent management and workforce planning.
• Provide coaching to directors, managers and employees to build leadership capabilities and address employee issues
• Provide compensation support to address internal equity concerns, promotions, transfers, etc.
• Build and maintain strong partnerships with multi-site HR and business teams.
• Ensure compliance with all applicable federal, state and local regulations.
BASIC QUALIFICATIONS
• Bachelor's degree or equivalent post-secondary degree in human resources, business, mathematics, science, or related field.
• 6 years of experience in a leadership role with knowledge and experience in human resource management and/or business partner functions.
• Previous employee relations and talent assessment experience.
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
• Able to travel, as needed.
• Excellent business acumen and an ability to understand a P&L.
• Demonstrated achievements in coaching, influencing and problem solving.
• Depth of pragmatic experience with compensation planning, negotiation, and implementation.
• Proficiency with sales incentive plans a plus.
• An ability and desire to own a space, provide thought leadership, and catalyze results.
• Strong judgment and employee relations experience.
• Expertise in assessing management and executive talent.
• Broad experience and specific knowledge of human resource theory, including employee relations, learning, and performance management.
• Work experience in the tech industry, or if not, successful tenure at two different industries.
• Deep understanding of ''what great HR looks like'' and how business cycles influence the people agenda.
• Excellent business acumen and an ability to understand a P&L.
• Demonstrated achievements in coaching, influencing and problem-solving.
• Depth of pragmatic experience with compensation planning, negotiation, and implementation.
• Ability and desire to own a space, provide thought leadership and catalyze results.
• Strong judgment and employee relations experience.
• Effective Communication/Facilitation: The Sr. HR Leader must be an effective communicator, both written and verbal, work with managers to send clear and consistent messages, be an effective communicator in writing, facilitation, be able to drive change, facilitate internal communication processes, and facilitate dissemination of internal customer information.
