Amazon Studios is looking for an experienced Franchise Manager to help create and manage franchise plans in support of our long term goals in our original television series business. This position will report to the Head of Franchise Management and Development and collaborate directly with Show Runners, Producers, Marketing, Creative Development, Physical Production, Social Media, PR and other ancillary business teams to help manage complex holistic franchise plans and timelines for some of Amazon Studios biggest properties.
Scope of Responsibility:
This role demands the ability to work across departments to help meet both short term and long term goals of various Amazon teams. This role will collaborate directly with the Head of Franchise, Marketing, Development and PR teams to help develop and manage holistic plans for key franchise properties. Candidate will collaborate with key stake holders to help identify franchise opportunities and craft detailed timelines and processes to manage franchise process.
Candidate will collaborate with senior team members to help define the scope of a project (from greenlight thorough launch and beyond) and help manage the long term sustainability of the franchise. Candidate will have a strong track record of managing complex projects and delivering results to numerous stakeholders. You will be collaborating closely, and assisting senior stakeholders in assessing all current work processes while looking for areas of improvement throughout. These processes may include strategic planning, budgeting, asset creation and delivery, etc.
Candidate will create and manage schedules, assets deliveries, manage resources, and track the project scope in an organized manner with quality and attention to detail.
The ability to communicate and collaborate, both written and verbally, is essential for success in this role.
• 5 years of entertainment experience in motion picture or television production.
• Extensive experience in project management
• Bachelor's degree
• Track record of collaborative relationships with executives, creative filmmakers, producers and production teams that allow for complete stakeholder alignment against a strategic creative vision in the launch and management of a television series or film
