Amazon Prime Video is seeking a Senior Creative Operations Manager to serve as the liaison between our Genre Marketing verticals and our in-house Creative Studio to ensure excellence in total output. This role reports to the Head of Integrated Creative Production.
In this high-visibility, cross-functional role, you are a whole-lifecycle thinker obsessed with fine creative details and with ensuring that teams complete their efforts on time and with a very high quality bar. You will facilitate projects that are assigned to the in-house Creative Studio by monitoring a portfolio of work from intake to final delivery, with special focus on partnership to the Group Creative Directors and in creative workflow and throughput prior to and during production. As part of the workflow you will help define project scope, help gather timelines and milestones, help plan and manage project resources, publish project statuses, facilitate creative, production, and 'client' reviews and communication, and ensure stakeholder expectations are managed clearly.
The Creative Operations Manager role is part of a larger production team within the Creative Studio that will seek to raise the creative bar and overall studio throughput by raising opportunities to improve flow, hosting regular post-mortems, learning from past experiences, and by applying learnings as continuous improvements for our customers. This role requires strong leadership skills with the proven ability to Earn Trust and motivate those around you as well as the ability to prioritize work from multiple stakeholders, manage expectations, mitigate scope-creep, and resolve roadblocks for the team.
Key Responsibilities:
• Manages projects/programs/campaigns through the entire lifecycle: Planning, creative production, delivery and post-project retrospectives
• Facilitates project-related team meetings including kick-offs, status, internal/stakeholder reviews, etc. and consistently communicates action steps to the broader team
• Tracks all projects moving through an assigned Creative Team via a consolidated tracker.
• Manages, organizes, and distributes all project documentation, including creative briefs, strategic plans, status reports, deliverables lists, etc. to appropriate internal and external partners
• Crafts holistic and individual project workback schedules for Key Art, A/V, Digital/Social and Content deliverables in conjunction with cross-functional Producers
• Ensures deliverables and deadlines are communicated to all internal and external parties
• Communicates project statuses at recurring cadences, identifying, flag-raising and troubleshooting issues/roadblocks
• Manages budgets in conjunction with other cross-functional Producers
• Compiles tactic budgets based on creative ideas generated by the Creative Studio
• Works closely with Resource Manager on strategic allocation of resources to achieve optimum efficiency
• Distributes and tracks all project kickoff documents
• Works closely with teams within the Production and Operations organization to understand business metrics and apply learnings to future projects to improve performance and efficiency
• Raises the quality bar by fostering continual process improvements through post-mortems and shares collaborative feedback with cross-functional partners
• Ensures technology and resources are being used to their full potential
• Invents and simplifies processes as our business continues to grow and evolve
Qualifications
• 5 years of creative services experience
• Experience working at or with a creative or advertising agency, network, streaming service, or studio
• Experience leading process improvements and/or operations tool implementations (e.g. digital asset management tool)
• Understanding of the workflow within a marketing, production, or creative department or company
• Experience leading projects across multiple stakeholders
• Experience working with digital asset management tools
• 4 years of professional, non-internship, creative project management experience at an advertising/creative agency or in-house marketing department
• Experience building, executing and scaling cross-functional marketing programs from concept to completion with multiple clients across different platforms and media formats
• Experience working with and using workflow and resource management software (including Smartsheets, & 10,000 feet) to manage the life of a project
• Experience using data and metrics to measure impact and determine improvements
• Fluency using Microsoft Excel to manipulate and analyze data
• Experience leading process improvements and/or operations tool implementations
