Our team builds new experiences for Amazon Music listeners. We help our customers discover up-and-coming creators, while also having access to their favorite music and podcasts. We build systems that are distributed around the world, spanning our music apps, web player, and voice-forward experiences on mobile and Amazon Echo devices, powered by Alexa. Amazon Music products support our mission of delivering audio entertainment in new and exciting ways that listeners love.
As the Programming Operations Manager, you'll play an instrumental role in shaping how we share the next generation of creators with our listeners.
Role & Responsibilities:
• Identify, build and execute operating model and define requirements for toolsets that support scheduling and slating content.
• Support and inform content and programming strategy, demonstrating an entrepreneurial spirit and thinking outside the box. Develop best practices for content.
• Dive deep into available data to identify needed metrics to inform understanding of customer tastes, optimize customer experience, and maximize customer engagement. Put together tools and dashboards that marry algorithmic programming and human programming inputs.
• Work with Industry Relations team to identify opportunities to engage more deeply with various types of artists, content, or trends, and identify gaps in content needs.
• Use a combination of personal judgment and available data to identify creators and original content to feature with Marketing and other cross-functional teams. Amplify the voices of niche communities, and work to ensure diversity.
• Use a deep knowledge of creator and content trends to optimize the content portfolio mix around what's working and what's not.
• Generate plan to meet goals and achieve goals for increasing creator engagement, retention, and quantitative performance.
Qualifications
• Experience implementing repeatable processes and driving automation or standardization
• Experience using data and metrics to drive improvements
• Experience defining and executing against program requirements
• 3 years experience in program or project management
• 3 years experience working cross functionally with tech and non-tech teams
• BS/BA required
• Demonstrated success in delivering results in a fast-paced, rapid-growth environment
