Part Time Unpaid Internship
The Original Movies Content Strategy team is seeking a Summer 2021 MBA Intern to join the studio behind movies such as Manchester By The Sea, The Big Sick, The Aeronauts, and Borat Subsequent Moviefilm. The team is responsible for guiding content investments for original movie productions and acquisitions. The Original Movies Content Strategy team works closely with senior leaders across creative development, content acquisition, finance, marketing, programming, production, and business affairs, and has a high degree of visibility within the organization. We are seeking a candidate who is passionate about the movie business and who is capable of addressing key business questions with detailed, data-driven analysis. The candidate will have a demonstrated ability to build complex financial models and communicate findings in a clear way to senior management. The Original Movies Content Strategy team is based in Los Angeles, but we are currently planning for the Summer 2021 MBA Intern to join us virtually.
Example work includes:
- Evaluating original movie productions and acquisitions up for greenlight
- Writing documents providing recommendations on slate strategy and content investments
- Analyzing movie performance on Prime Video
- Refining KPIs and establishing best practices in forecasting
- Performing competitive analysis and benchmarking
Qualifications
- Currently enrolled in an accredited MBA program and returning to classes in Fall 2021
- Excellent analytical capabilities and experience using complex modeling and analysis to inform key business decisions
- Advanced to expert level Excel skills and familiarity with statistical concepts/analysis
- Solid understanding of the media and entertainment landscape and digital trends
