Amazon Studios is the content development and production arm of Amazon.com. We make and deliver Amazon Originals content for Amazon Prime customers. Over the past 5 years, we have debuted award-winning and ground-breaking content like Manchester by the Sea, The Big Sick, The Boys, El Presidente, and All In: The Fight for Democracy. The Worldwide Production & Operations team covers physical production, post production, localization, and delivery of series and movies globally.

We are hiring the Head of Global Delivery. This position will oversee the delivery team that works across global Amazon Originals movies and series from Amazon Studios and is responsible for the delivery schedule and related production deliverables. This position will also oversee downstream operational support and creation of master assets for theatrical and streaming release. The Head of Global Delivery is responsible for hiring and developing the best talent to join the team as they scale to support increasing and unique content types worldwide.

The Head of Global Delivery represents the department in senior executive meetings by sharing recommendations on titles in various stages of delivery through final release. This position regularly works with the leaders in Development, Programming Strategy, Business Affairs, Legal, Localization, Mastering, Production Technology, Creative Marketing, and Public Relations.

The Head of Global Delivery is responsible for assigning titles across their team and managing their team in resolving issues that impact delivery timing. They also ensure that timelines and quality are maintained. They are responsible for developing career growth plans with each direct report.

The Head of Global Delivery works directly on high-profile movies and series, overseeing delivery budgets and schedules, solving internal and external challenges, and ensuring that content delivers on time and on budget. This position is responsible for making effective trade-offs between delivery timelines and studio release plans. As a team manager, this candidate must be an experienced leader and people manager

Responsibilities
include but are not limited to:
• Hire, train, supervise, and set career growth plans for Delivery Team staff
• Define and evolve team processes to support on-time delivery and on-budget execution for projects in development, production, and post production
• Ensure proper show coverage across the team in accordance with experience and seniority
• Support resolution of team escalations
• Develop team goals, roadmap, and strategy consistent with Global Post Management objectives
• Represent team interests with senior leadership fairly and objectively
• Collaborate with Post Management senior leaders and other department heads to support cross-team processes and initiatives
• Drive process and technical innovation to support customer needs
• Contribute towards establishing technical delivery specifications
• Oversee projects in various stages of delivery
• Negotiate delivery schedules with outside studios, producers, and production companies
• Vet and approve theatrical and streaming mastering and QC vendors
• Deploy and innovate digital delivery workflows from finishing vendors

Qualifications

• 10 years of experience as post or delivery executive
• 3 years of experience building and managing teams
• Experience with theatrical and streaming distribution
• Experience with Dolby Vision, Dolby Atmos, UHD, HDR, and film workflows
• Management of complex and technical delivery schedules
