Our team is focused on building a personalized, curated, and seamless music experience. We want to help our customers discover up-and-coming artists, while also having access to their favorite established musicians. We build systems that are distributed on a large scale, spanning our music apps, web player, and voice-forward audio engagement on mobile and Amazon Echo devices, powered by Alexa to support our customer base. The Head of Genre Marketing will lead artist marketing initiatives that span across multiple Amazon business teams and experiential marketing. This role resides on the Global Artist Marketing team of Amazon Music. In this role, you will develop and execute bar-raising global integrated marketing and experiential campaigns. You have a proven track record mobilizing cross-functional teams, planning campaigns and marketing events, and delivering results. Plus a drive for testing, learning and making insight- and data-driven decisions. You will need to possess an entrepreneurial ability to try new and different things with minimal direction. Overall, you will be challenged to push boundaries, propose and execute new ideas and establish best practices for Amazon Music. We are seeking an excellent manager that has the ability to recruit and manage a great team.

Core Responsibilities:
• Manage the planning process and calendar for high-impact artist marketing events that can drive awareness, consumption, and growth for Amazon Music.
• Work collaboratively with various business units to maximize artist campaigns.
• Create and own goals and performance metrics for artist marketing; monitor regularly to understand effectiveness of strategy and creative, making recommendations for continuous improvement.
• Drive the development of cross-discipline plans by working closely with and gathering inputs from all internal global stakeholders.
• Identify goals and objectives for each event/initiative and communicate to relevant team(s) in a timely manner for on-time delivery and launch; build workback schedules to support each deliverable.
• Act as a leader and ''catalyst'' who inspires others to deliver bar-raising, best in class ideas and plans at a global scale, eliminating barriers that may work against this goal.
• Bring big ideas to the table, obtain buy-in and effectively and efficiently implement ideas at scale.
• Present to leadership regularly to update on key metrics and progress to goals; set mechanisms to operationalize timely global status updates for events.
• Responsible for budget reviews.
• Strong internal advocate for artists.
• Cultivate positive relationships with partners and relevant global stakeholders to forward our position.
Qualifications
• 10 years of professional non-internship marketing experience
• 5 years of experience directly managing others
• Experience using Microsoft Excel to manipulate and analyze data
• Experience using data and metrics to measure impact and determine improvements
• Experience driving direction and alignment with cross-functional teams
• Experience directly managing teams
• Experience presenting metrics and progress to goal to senior leadership
• Bachelor's Degree
• 7 years of marketing experience
• Experience driving direction and alignment with large cross-functional teams
