IMDbPro is the essential entertainment industry resource, providing comprehensive information and tools that are designed to help industry professionals achieve success throughout all stages of their career. We are looking for an analytical Content Specialist/Editor to join IMDb's Content Organization, ensuring that the content powering these experiences is accurate, timely and complete. This is an exciting time as we expand our Los Angeles-based operations.
In this role you'll be joining a team of entertainment industry experts and enthusiasts based in multiple locations around the globe. You'll take ownership of operational tasks and associated KPIs/SLAs including content vetting, acquisition and customer service. You'll proactively drive process improvement to increase the efficiency and quality of our content and the customer experience. You'll be working across the depth and breadth of IMDb's vast catalog and servicing myriad customers from TV fans and movie buffs to industry professionals and studios. Being in the heart of the LA entertainment industry, expect to focus your energy and leverage your expertise on the latter.
To be successful in this role you must possess superlative attention to detail and communication skills (written and verbal). You should be comfortable and have experience with handling and building trust with internal and external customers. You should be data-driven and adept at working across complex content workflows via automation and manual process innovation. As a technology company, proven ability to communicate effectively with product and technology teams is essential. A passion for and understanding of the business and creative side of the entertainment industry will also help you navigate the existing and emerging professional content opportunities ahead.
Entertainment never sleeps, so please note that the successful applicant will be expected to work every Saturday or Sunday (rotations are Tuesday to Saturday inclusive or Sunday to Thursday inclusive).
BASIC QUALIFICATIONS
• Bachelor's degree or equivalent
• 2 years' experience in a related role, preferable customer-centric in the field of content/data/account management
• Entertainment industry experience or equivalent exposure
• Data-mining/analysis and experience manipulating large data sets
• Willingness to work with sensitive and potentially-offensive visual and written content including but not limited to the following themes: adult/sex/nudity; profanity; religion; alcohol; tobacco; weapons; blood and gore
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
• SQL
• Existing entertainment industry network/contacts and relationships
• Experience with subscription-based or paid products
• Experience with B2B information products
• Willingness to work unsociable hours
• Superlative written and verbal communication
• Superlative attention to detail
• Adept at understanding proprietary software and tooling, including generating customer requirements for improvements
• Fluency in more than one language
