The Amazon Studios Technology Services team is looking for an Operations Manager. This is an exciting opportunity to help manage the global technological growth within Studios with an emphasis on business process optimization through individual contribution. The right individual will have exceptional process optimization skills, project management acumen, a keen attention to detail, strong communication, and solid business judgment capable of driving an organization to the right results. A candidate will have operated successfully in a fast-paced, global, results-oriented environment and possess effective verbal and written communication skills. The Technology Services team needs a self-starter, who is able to work efficiently and autonomously. The candidate will need to manage ambiguous, complex areas of the business that need problem solving, including partnering with adjacent teams locally and in other countries.
Key responsibilities:
Manage organization-wide setting and tracking initiatives.
Manage the financial planning/budgeting process.
Compile and review operational plans with leadership.
Perform ad-hoc analyses that assist and influence the Studios business.
Perform budget related tasks like entering POs and communicating with vendors
Manage several simultaneous customer facing projects with complex technological solutions that impact production and business operations.
Qualifications
• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Finance, Accounting, Business, or any similar discipline with a clear analytical bias.
• 4 years' of experience in finance or a related analytical field, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
• Proven financial experience, including deep familiarity with concepts of forecasting, budgeting and variance analysis
• Advanced-level proficiency in Excel; you are comfortable with macros, pivots, lookups and more.
