Job Description:
Prime Video is seeking a creative, talented, and experienced Editor to lead and grow our internal editing studio, Day One, based in Culver City, CA. As the Head of Editorial, you will be responsible for the editorial strategy of Prime Video’s brand marketing and collaborate closely with Amazon Studios’ title marketing team to deliver top-tier marketing assets and content.
Key Responsibilities:
• Lead and oversee the editorial strategy, content creation, and presentation across Prime Video and Amazon Studios title marketing campaigns.
• Build and develop a high-performing editorial team, recruiting top talent into the Day One studio.
• Collaborate across departments to foster strong working relationships and ensure projects align with broader business goals.
• Analyze data and research to assess campaign performance and identify areas for improvement.
• Optimize creative processes and outsource where necessary, while maintaining high creative standards.
• Innovate and refresh creative approaches based on shifting needs across platforms, including Product UI, Sports, and Studios.
• Empower editors by providing inspiration, education, and training to expand their skills.
• Compile quarterly performance wrap-ups of marketing assets, highlighting learnings and best practices.
• Serve as lead editor on high-priority projects when necessary.
Required Qualifications:
• 10+ years of experience in video editing or related fields.
• Expertise in editing systems such as Premiere, Avid, After Effects, and other animation software.
• Strong managerial, communication, and interpersonal skills.
• Proven ability to collaborate with key partners and navigate executive-level environments.
Preferred Qualifications:
• Extensive contacts in the creative industry, particularly in AV entertainment marketing.
• Experience partnering with high-level editorial talent and contributors.
• Fluency in video tools and content management systems.
Workplace Details:
This is a full-time position based in Culver City, CA. The role requires a presence in the office at least 3 days a week, particularly during priority events. You will be reporting to the Director, U.S. Streaming Creative and Production, with a team of 5 direct reports.
