How do I hire an Intern - Publicity/Marketing? The Alta Global Media Internship Program is a virtual 12 week program that will give interns a broad understanding of the entertainment industry (both domestic and international) with a focus on publicity and marketing.
In view of the current health protocols, there will be no in person contact. The internship will take place virtually, with meetings over Zoom and communication via email, slack, etc happening on a weekly basis. Interns will work both individually and in groups depending on the assignment. Interns will report mainly to the Alta Global Media Publicity Coordinator and Head of Marketing when necessary.
The internship will take place for 12 weeks upon hiring. This is an unpaid internship with the opportunity for school credit available.
Publicity/Marketing Weekly Tasks: Data collection and market research, tracking press coverage for clients, social media and news monitoring, assisting with press junket and interview planning and preparation, assisting with virtual event planning as needed, reviewing and editing press releases, other long and short term assignments as needed, and more.
TL;DR - We are a dynamic, full-service agency working in all fields of entertainment: publicity, marketing, production, development, and management. We are looking for fast learners who aren't afraid to dive head first into projects and ask questions. Publicity and marketing intern applicants should have an eye for editing and proofreading, have experience working in Google Office, and have an understanding and knowledge of entertainment outlets and mediums.
