PROGRAM MANAGER
Join a dedicated, growing team that is working for equity in the entertainment industry. The Alliance of Women Directors (AWD) is an inclusive non-profit organization working to affect positive, lasting change in the entertainment industry. AWD works with like-minded organizations and industry partners to increase their impact and provides professional support for members in the form of hands-on craft enrichment, professional development, and community building opportunities. A relentless advocate for gender parity, AWD believes it is vital that stories are told from all perspectives.
The Program Manager organizes AWD programs and activities; manages operational tasks in support of AWD's strategic goals to advocate for a more equitable entertainment industry; and provides support and coordination to the Programming, Communications, Membership, and Fundraising Committees.
The position is a part-time position based in Los Angeles and will require some flexibility, as some weekend and evening hours may be required. The schedule will be determined between the person selected for the position and the Executive Director. This role reports to the Executive Director and the Board and will work independently on most tasks.
Responsibilities:
-Migrate and maintain organization's contacts on new CRM
-Create and maintain documentation necessary for panels and events
-Manage and update a calendar of all AWD events (internal and external) for the year
-Maintain existing relationships within the organization including partners, vendors, and supporters
-Organizing social media assets and assist with time-sensitive social media and communications requests
-Provide regular programming updates to the AWD Board
Experience/Skills:
-A passion for AWD's mission of empowering women and gender nonbinary directors
-Proven experience in project management skills
-Excellent communication and collaboration skills
-High level of proficiency with Microsoft Word, Excel, and Google Docs
-Extremely organized and detail-oriented
-Social Media, WordPress and Zoom experience preferred
-Prior experience at a nonprofit preferred but not necessary
