This newly created broad developmental role will support the senior executive team at our fast-growing independent TV production company through undertaking financial and commercial analysis, creating presentations, managing projects and offering clerical and administrative support.
The position reports to the Chief Financial Officer and SVP, Corporate Development and offers a unique insight across the financial, strategic and investment activities of the business.
The successful candidate must be a self-starter who is able to take initiative and is keen to learn, while being a natural team player. Some experience of the TV industry is an advantage.
Main responsibilities of the role:
• Research, analysis and presentation of industry information and competitor activity for use in group strategy formulation
• Support in creating detailed presentations demonstrating business performance and investment cases
• Provide ad-hoc financial and commercial analyses to support key decision-making by the senior executive team
• Review and synthesize third party business plans relating to Group investment and acquisition opportunities
• Support in modeling financial forecasts, deal structures, return on investment and sensitivity analyses in relation to specific investment proposals
• Calendar management responsibility for CFO and SVP, Corporate Development
• Ad-hoc clerical and administrative support for CFO and SVP, Corporate Development, including support in coordination of company newsletter and Company events
Qualifications and skills needed:
• AA or BS/BA in a relevant field
• General knowledge of accounting principles
• Good working knowledge of Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint
• Numerate with some financial analysis and financial modelling skills
• Comprehensive and detail-orientated desk research and analysis skills
• Excellent presentation skills, with the ability to clearly synthesize information
• Excellent communications skills, both written and verbal
• Ability to manage multiple work streams through multitasking, prioritizing, and organizing
• Ability to thrive in a fast paced environment and have a high degree of flexibility
• Comprehension of the evolving media landscape and a passion for TV content
• Ability to maintain strict confidentiality
• Above skills obtained via internships, grad school, or employment
• Must have unrestricted work authorization to work in the United States
