DEFINITION
Under direct supervision, reporting to the Royalties Manager, processes third-party payments of royalties and licensing fees and assists in other Business Affairs processes.
CORE DUTIES
Depending on assignment, core duties include (but are not limited to) the following:
• Analyzes song data on third-party royalty statements and matches to the proper song in the Alfred Royalty System (ARS)
• Processes all third-party payments of royalties and licensing fees.
• Reconciles and posts receipts of third-party payments into the ARS.
• Tracks pending payments and adjustments.
• Maintains royalty payable data and performs data entry for new and revised products in ARS.
• Assists with various projects as needed.
• Assists in other areas or departments as needed.
PRIMARY Qualifications
KNOWLEDGE OF: Degree from accredited college or university or work experience equivalent to a minimum of one to two years of experience in Royalties, Accounting or Music Industry-related field, strong proficiency in Microsoft Excel, fundamental PC operations, proficiency in Microsoft Office applications (Word, Outlook) and database applications. Desirable: general musical concepts.
ABILITY TO: Be extremely detail-oriented and able to prioritize workload, key records into database accurately, perform basic mathematical calculations accurately, be organized and handle simultaneous multiple tasks and meet deadlines, communicate effectively, both in writing and verbally with all business contacts.
This position is located in Van Nuys, California in our headquarters office near the Van Nuys Airport.

This position is full-time and includes Alfred's generous package of benefits. The company's general business hours are Monday-Friday, 8 a.m.-4:30 p.m., however exact schedule for this position is managed by Royalties Manager.
