Search for VFX On-Set Supervisor jobs in Victoria-BC
Western FX Studios is looking for an On-Set VFX Supervisor for our live-action Netflix Original television series.
This show will involve full CG characters, CG spaceships, 3D FX work, and CG face replacement.
The On-Set Supervisor will work closely with the VFX Supervisor, Director, and DOP, ensuring all plates are shot in the proper manner for the type of vfx work required.
They will be closely monitoring all shots on set, ensuring the Director follows storyboards and plans as outlined in Production meetings.
The On-Set Supervisor should have experience with green/blue screens, setting up tracking markers; shooting full CG character plates; shooting multiple 2D comp plates for crowd dupes, split screens; shooting set extensions, PMP plates; knowledge and experience with HDRIs and grey balls.
The potential candidate must be able to make critical on-set decisions to maximize shot success and communicate any issues back to the in-house VFX Supervisor.
Must have excellent communication skills.
A technical understanding of visual effects is a must.
Western FX Studios is a boutique Post Production facility in Vancouver, Canada that creates visual effects for a stable, long-running client base - Air Bud Entertainment.
We're best known for the family classic Air Bud, MVP, the Air Buddies franchises, the Pup Star movies franchise on Netflix, and our first tv series for Disney and Netflix - the Emmy nominated Pup Academy.
Western FX Studios has also recently completed the upcoming Warner Brothers feature film, ''Cats and Dogs 3: Paws Unite'', as well as shots for the NBC hit-show ''Zoey's Extraordinary Playlist''.
We strictly follow all labour standards, pay proper OT after 8 and 12 hours, and have an excellent work environment.
Hiring will commence immediately. It is a 7-week shoot in Victoria, BC.
We pay extremely competitive rates, preference will be given to BC residents.
