LOS ANGELES-BASED APP CONTENT SCHEDULER & APP PRODUCT MANAGER FOR CHINESE DIGITAL SPORTS NETWORK
Bi-Lingual Mandarin / English Programming Planner & Project Manager Full-Time

AIB Sportsbrands Studios is a well-funded, high-profile company based in Los Angeles & Beijing that recently launched an APP in China called MORE - - . The APP distributes short form sports programming produced by our US-based entertainment studio, filmed globally, and digitally distributed by our Beijing-based team.
The primary goal of the Content Scheduler is to schedule the delivery and distribution of our digital programming with the primary goal of maximizing viewership on our APP. Additionally being able to analyze what is trending with other content apps in the Global & Chinese sports entertainment market. Secondary role includes being able to make recommendations to our APP functionality based upon market research and feedback from our senior leadership. Our Schedular should have solid interpersonal skills and analytical skills with a good understanding of app functionality. The position also requires the ability to quickly maneuver through and analyze relevant sales and market data to compile and create reports and information towards supporting content and distribution decision-making needs.
This is a key supporting role, working with multiple in-house departments daily including Content and Brand Production, Technology, and Operations in the US and in China. The role requires strong content programming and scheduling expertise as well as experience in understanding how the consumer entertainment marketplace impacts digital programs consumption.
Responsibilities:
• Assist the Content Production and Technology teams in maintaining programming schedules and timeliness of program and product delivery.
• Communicate and coordinate new feature requirements, change requests and content launching schedules between the US headquarters and the APP engineering team in China.
• Create and analyze market and sales reports to derive key takeaways about sell-in and develop full programming strategy.
• Manage the coordination of the company's digital content and consumer products with mobile APP distribution in China.
Monitor audience trends in China to inform the schedule of delivery and distribution of content to consumer. Must have
awareness of Chinese entertainment and technology landscape.
• Analyze APP user data to measure usage effectiveness and help optimize user retention strategies.
• Actively participate in the strategic planning of the content release schedules.
Requirements:
• 3-5 years of work experience in project management and digital media programming scheduling.
• Fluent in reading, writing and speaking Mandarin Chinese and English
• Have an understanding of the digital APP media landscape in China with a strong preference for experience in the Chinese
video media industry, particularly sports.
• Have strong data analytical skills, especially the ability to draw both qualitative and quantitative conclusions from large
scale data. Proficient in Content Database Systems, Microsoft Excel, and Word. Able to communicate via WeChat and
Email.
• Must reside in the Greater Los Angeles area.
• Candidates who are passionate about professional sports with some knowledge of basketball are preferred.
• College degree preferred.
• Authorized to work in US (H1B, Green Card, US Citizen, etc.)
