This is a Full Time Job
The Payroll Administrator reviews and processes each company's biweekly compensation schedule and ensures each staff member is paid on time and accurately. The role also performs all activities necessary to process 5 payrolls, including maintaining related records, filing any tax reports necessary, preparing accounting transactions and documents, and preparing special reports for management.
Duties:
• Responsible for the preparation and processing of biweekly payroll for over 50 employees (5 companies) on the Paylocity Payroll System
• Review and ensure accuracy of approved timesheets
• Wage and hour law compliance
• Perform functions on issues involving distribution and handing out pay checks (that are not through direct deposit), organizing benefit deductions, garnishment, levies, payroll deductions, federal and state payroll tax deposits and returns, flexible spending accounts, federal payroll summaries and new hire reports
• Responsible for the coordination efforts between payroll, HR, finance, accounting and other departments to ensure proper flow and maintenance of employee data
• Download and save payroll reports from previous payroll provider; organize and file all payroll reports
• Provide payroll assistance to new hires and provide paperwork to Director of HR for terminating employees
• Manage the administration of the electronic timekeeping system
• Setup each employee within the HRIS system
• Ensures maximum compliance with local, state, and federal laws and regulations
• Ensures the updating of the organization's payroll procedures
• Create company's salary sheets and maintain tracking data
• Act as the first point of contact for the employees in matters of time, attendance, and payroll
Skills/Qualifications:
• Prefer Bachelor's Degree in Business Administration, Accounting, or Finance
• At least 2-3 years experience with Payroll Administration
• Strong ability to maintain confidentiality in the course of work
• Must posses an eye for detail and be an independent worker
• Must posses an interest in the film and television industry
• Proficiency in MS Outlook, Excel, Word, PowerPoint
• Strong written communication, verbal communication and organizational skills
• Capacity to work well independently and as part of a team
• Must have a strong work ethic, sense of humor, and an eagerness to learn
