JOB DESCRIPTION
POSITION: Assistant, Thesis Production
DEPARTMENT: Thesis Production, AFI Conservatory
LOCATION: Los Angeles Campus
The Assistant, Thesis Production is responsible for providing support to the Thesis Production staff, mentors, faculty and Fellows.
PRINCIPAL RESPONSIBILITIES:
• Update name tags on Production Binders.
• Update name tags on Production Mailboxes.
• Organize and file Production Paperwork in Production Binders.
• Scan paperwork and save to shared Google Drive.
• Create hard copies of paperwork for Fellows.
• Send email reminders to Fellows of upcoming meetings, paperwork due and tasks to be completed.
• Compile files for Distribution.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
EXPERIENCE/SKILLS REQUIRED:
• Bachelor's degree required.
• Minimum two years Production entertainment or related Administrative experience.
• Knowledge of basic process, terminology and procedures of motion picture production, television and/or other media required.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Word, Excel .
• Familiarity with production forms such as call sheets and production reports, location agreements, contracts, releases and clearance documentation is a plus.
• Excellent communication, organizational and prioritizing skills, as well as strong writing and proofreading abilities.
• Strong self-motivation and self-initiative; ability to take direction as well as work independently on multiple projects.
• Proven ability to handle numerous details, with appropriate follow up and reporting activities.
• Ability to work calmly under pressure.
• Must demonstrate a friendly and cooperative attitude with internal and external contacts in a professional environment.
• Personal integrity and the ability to inspire and confidence and trust.
