Full Time Job
Reporting to the Director, Nicholl Fellowships, the Senior Coordinator provides administrative support to the Academy Nicholl Fellowships in Screenwriting competition.
Responsibilities:
• Maintain office including scheduling department calendar and coordinating meetings, greeting guests and other reception support, and maintaining supplies.
• Manage files and long-term records, and process invoices and expense reimbursement.
• Serve as first contact and technical support to entrants, readers, Fellows, members, and vendors.
• Handle heavy phone and email inquiries from the public and channel communications to appropriate department member.
• Heavy database work including processing entries into competition, and flagging and investigating entries for rule compliance.
• Meticulously proof communications, web content, and record keeping for proper formatting, grammar, and accuracy. Draft and update web content and other communications.
• Assist department head and team as needed on broad variety of projects/events including awards show and awards week activities, Fellows lunches, research, etc.
• Support department staff by cultivating multi-department cooperation and integration. Facilitate execution as needed for intra-department projects with staff across all departments within the Academy.
• Track progress and following through on assigned projects.
Qualifications:
• Bachelor's degree in screenwriting, writing, or similar area of study preferred.
• Strong technical ability with working knowledge of databases (CRM preferred), PC and Mac, e-readers, multiple internet browsers and versions, screenwriting software, Microsoft Office, Adobe Pro, social media, and screenplay coverage.
• High degree of initiative in learning new skills, anticipating issues, and solving problems.
• Expert writing skills with special attention to accuracy.
• Incorporate the phrase ''This bon mot is a gem.'' in a cover letter when applying.
• Ability to take direction from numerous parties and execute simultaneous projects and/or events while maintaining a pleasant and professional demeanor.
• Strong integrity, discretion, and work ethic.
