Overview:
Absolute Merch is a full-service merchandise company based in Orange County with deep roots in the music, entertainment, and social media influencer industries. The Account Manager is an integral role at the company, acting as the main point of contact for each client, as well as coordinating the rest of the company. The Account Manager directs each step of the process, from creative development, to production, to sales, and each step in between. This role requires both big picture thinking as well as attention to detail, and the ability to juggle multiple projects at once.
Duties & Responsibilities:
- Establish and maintain relationships with an assigned roster of clients and their representatives
- Simultaneously manage projects, scheduling, and deadlines for multiple clients
- Familiarize yourself with clients and their fanbase / target markets to be able to recommend relevant and trending items
- Work closely with clients & their representatives to develop product lines for e-commerce, touring, and other projects
- Use project management software to enter, update, and track project timelines
- Submit art requests giving creative direction to get the right designs. Work with the design department and the client through the revisions and approval process
- Collaborate with production department on order entry and the production process
o Coordinate on the selection and ordering of blanks
o Review Order Acknowledgement & track Milestones to keep the project on deadline
o Review & approve techpacks
o Coordinate with production on any questions or issues on current status from production through receiving
- Work with Project Manager (& procurement) when sourcing external production vendors, whether accessories & specialty items, or regional printers for tour stock
- Work with Project Manager to establish cost of goods, both internal for accounting tracking as well as final COGS to charge the client
- Work with Project Manager to place final production order once sale is complete
- Work with E-Commerce department to set up online sales
o Provide information and assets to build products and schedule store and/or sale launches
o Work with design team on store builds or re-skins
- Marketing & promotion of sale launches
o Schedule and coordinate photo shoots for promo images, and work with design team to create promo images ahead of launch
o Create & coordinate social posting schedule with the client
o Work with marketing & design to create & schedule e-mail blasts for sale launches
o Work with marketing to budget, set up, create, and schedule online ad campaigns to drive sales
- Touring - Create sales projections at the start of a tour, and track nightly sales
o Work with Project Manager to schedule re-print and drop-ship logistics
- Work with department head on financial projections for upcoming sales
Qualifications and Qualities Needed:
- MIninum 3-5 years experience in a similar, client-facing role
- Ability to manage multiple projects under tight deadlines and keep grace under pressure.
- Big picture creative thinking and the ability to communicate with creative people, and then execute those ideas
- Detail-oriented, and the ability to communicate clearly and efficiently
- Familiarity with project management software, and the ability to adapt to new tools & procedures.
- Familiarity and experience with the merchandise production process
- Familiarity with e-commerce process and platforms
