Paid Intern - Royalty

This is a Part Time Paid Internship

ABKCO Music & Records, Inc. is currently in search of a Record Royalty intern to support the royalty team. The ideal candidate has a passion for learning all aspects of the music business and is either a current college student majoring in Music Business, Accounting or Finance or a recent college graduate. Previous work experience in the music industry is preferred. Dependability, commitment, and professional demeanor are incredibly important. Overtime is required during the royalty processing periods (January, February, July, and August).

The royalty intern will support the royalties team in the following areas, including, but not limited to:

Responsibilities
• Gathering and organizing supporting documentation for royalty receipts and following up with various payees.
• Responsible for maintaining SharePoint filing systems and department archiving.
• Assisting with organizing and maintaining physical and digital statements received
• Sending out email and responding to email correspondence
• Special projects as needed

Requirements
• Knowledge of Microsoft Excel (Pivot tables/V-look ups a plus)
• Must have an impeccable eye for detail
• Must be organized and extremely detail oriented
• Must have excellent communication skills (verbal and written)
• Must be a team player and adaptable in a fast-paced work environment.
• Ability to keep information highly confidential
• Familiar with royalty terminology, processes, and various reporting a plus
