Paid Intern - Music Licensing

This is a Part Time Paid Internship

ABKCO Music & Records, Inc. is seeking a Music Licensing Intern to assist with various tasks related to synchronization licensing, copyright registration, mechanical licensing, and general administrative support. The ideal candidate is a current senior majoring in Music Business who is eager to explore all facets of the music industry. While prior experience in music licensing is a plus, it is not mandatory.
The job responsibilities will include, but are not limited to:
• Digital Filing
• Metadata registration for compositions and sound recordings
• Organizing package submissions to music supervisors for placement in Film/TV/Advertising
• Various administrative tasks to support the team, such as drafting licenses, creating invoices, and issuing purchase orders
• Special projects
Requirements
• Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written
• Excellent computer skills and proficiency in Microsoft Excel & Word
• Excellent interpersonal skills and a collaborative work style
• Able to work under the pressure of deadlines
• Previous experience in Music Maestro is a plus
• Extremely detail-oriented and highly organized, with an ability to manage large workloads and prioritize demands
• Solid understanding of Music Publishing
