Job Summary:
The Talent Booker is responsible for identifying, inviting and securing guest talent to appear on The View. The candidate must have a proven track record of securing relevant bookings and producing programming for entertainment, sports, music, news and digital media. The candidate must have the pulse on news and pop-culture trends and a strong network of contacts as well as relationships with various publicists, publishers, studios and digital media companies.

Responsibilities include:
• Research, pitch and book Newsmakers, Authors, Entertainers and Political guests for live show
• Monitor top of trends in all areas of entertainment
• Work with Senior Producers on human interest bookings
• Negotiate all aspects of guest bookings including song choice selections, communications to guest's team, reimbursement details (for musical acts)
• Work with tape/stills department on music clearance issues and licensing approvals
• Source celebrity events for social media team to cover and post on social media platforms
• Connect producers with publicists to arrange pre-interviews and obtain elements for guest's segment
• Responsible for networking with publicists – requires evening and occasional weekend hours
Basic Qualifications:
• 5 years of experience securing high profile newsmakers, talent for entertainment, media programs and other special events
Preferred Qualifications:
• In depth knowledge and appreciation of news, politics, pop-culture and the media industry
• Must have a current network of contacts to book newsmakers/talent
• Outstanding written and verbal communication skills with the ability to break through gate-keepers and influence decision makers including publicists, lawyers and newsmakers
• Excellent organizational and project management skills with the ability to thrive in fast-paced environment
• Must be willing to work with producers on segments re: editorial content and connect for pre-interviews, footage and other materials.
Required Education
• Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience
