This is a Full Time Unpaid Internship
The ABC Studios Finance & Strategy team is seeking a highly qualified MBA candidate for an internship position. This role will support both the Finance and Strategy functions of the team. The ideal candidate should exhibit excellent analytical, leadership, and interpersonal skills and possess a record of outstanding academic and professional achievement. Strong written and verbal communication skills, a team-oriented attitude and a sense of fun are essential.
Responsibilities:
A Day in the Life…
• Understand finance's role in ABC Studios and Walt Disney Television
• Create, monitor and maintain financial models that project show-level financial data and support the forecasting, budgeting and long range planning functions for ABC Studios
• Provide modeling and analysis to support series greenlight decisions
• Learn about the strategic issues facing a television studio
• Monitor industry trends and interpret the strategic implications for the business
Basic Qualifications:
What We Are Looking For…
• Passion for the television industry
• 4 years of relevant work experience. Media and entertainment, strategy, consulting and/or investment banking experience preferred
• Strong financial modeling and PowerPoint skills
• Self-starter with ability to balance multiple priorities and resolve issues quickly in a fast paced environment
• Excellent interpersonal skills; ability to work well with diverse stakeholders at all levels of the organization including senior-level executives
• Ability to maintain both a rigorous attention to detail and a big-picture, strategic mindset
• Comfortable working both independently and as a member of a collaborative team
Preferred Qualifications:
• Candidacy in an MBA program at a top-tier business school (or comparable graduate degree)
• Bachelors degree in Business, Economics, Finance, or Accounting
• Knowledge of the television business and media ecosystem
• Fluency in corporate finance, financial accounting, and budgeting
• Familiarity with working in or with large organizations
Required Education
• Currently enrolled (or recently graduated within 6 months) in an accredited MBA program or comparable graduate degree program
Additional Information:
• At the time of application, must be enrolled in an accredited college/university taking at least one class in the semester/quarter (spring/fall) prior to participation in the internship program OR must have graduated from a college/university within 6 months OR currently participating in a Disney College Program or Disney Professional Internship
• Must be at least 18 years of age
• Must not have completed one year of continual employment on a Disney internship or program
• Must possess unrestricted work authorization
• Program Dates: Interns must be fully available from May 2020 to August 2020.
• Housing: Interns must provide their own housing for the duration of their internship program in California.
• Transportation: Interns must have reliable transportation to get to and from work for the duration of their internship program.
