Part Time Unpaid Internship
Job Summary:
Lincoln Square Productions (LSP) is an internal production company for ABC News that produces original content for broadcast, cable and digital distribution. We are focused on creatively developing ways to tell fact-based stories and work closely with other entities of Walt Disney Television to produce exciting and new programming.
Responsibilities:
As an intern at Lincoln Square Productions, you will perform a variety of duties that are invaluable to the company's success. You will receive hands-on experience and knowledge in what it takes to develop a show from concept to full production.
A day in the life…
• Sharing ideas and contributing to development discussions
• Assisting Development department in several capacities including:
• Tracking external pitches
• Researching stories, character
• Writing & basic layout of internal pitch decks
• Assisting Production department with streamlining production pipelines including
• Updating production manual
• Updating Master Development Grid
• Updating Master Production Calendar
• Supporting producers and editors by coordinating scripts/keeping show binders
• Assisting with general office needs
Basic Qualifications:
What you bring to the role…
• Excellent writing and communications skills
• A sharp eye for detail
• An interest in pursuing a career in media
Preferred Qualifications:
• Undergraduate students in their Junior or Senior year or recent graduates
• Previous experience (academic or internship) in television, news & new media development and/or production
• Proficiency in graphic design software, such as Adobe Creative Suite, Keynote and PowerPoint
• Proficiency in Office 365 (especially Outlook, Excel and One Drive)
• Knowledge of or proficiency in video editing tools a plus (AVID or Final Cut)
• Cumulative GPA of 3.0 or higher
Additional Information:
Internship Eligibility:
• All candidates must possess unrestricted work authorization
• All candidates must be at least 18 years old
• All candidates must currently be enrolled in an accredited college or university and taking at least one class – OR – be a recent graduate of an accredited college or university within the last six (6) months - OR - be currently participating in the Disney College Program, Disney Culinary Program or Disney Professional Internship Program in order to qualify for this internship
• All candidates must be able to work in the New York City office and provide their own housing and transportation for the duration of the internship
• All candidates must be able to have a consistent, reliable work schedule throughout the session
Program Dates:
• All candidates must be available from January to April/May
• All candidates must be willing to work 40 hours/week
