Job Summary:
Good Morning America has an opening for a Senior Broadcast Producer.
Responsibilities:
Qualified candidates are responsible for bringing the broadcast to air, initiating coverage of breaking news and longer-term projects, making changes to stories and segments as they approach deadline. This individual will be tasked with getting the maximum input from our team of writers, producers, on-air talent and control-room staff. Responsibilities include directing the flow of production, managing and approving budgets through all phases of production, and maintaining strong relationships with people at various levels and in various disciplines of business and production. The senior broadcast producer must have live control room experience and be well versed in graphics workflow, line producing, segment timing and studio operations. This position reports to the Senior Executive Producer.
Basic Qualifications:
• Minimum of 7 years of progressive experience in one or more of the following areas: television news, public affairs programming, political, national or international affairs programming
• Demonstrated great work ethic
• Ability to thrive under daily deadline pressures
• Excellent attention to detail
Preferred Qualifications:
• Minimum five years of experience in a control room producing for a live news show at the large market, cable, or network level
• Experience working with union represented staff
• Previous management of a team a plus
Required Education
Bachelor's Degree (TV/Film/Journalism or related field) or equivalent work experience
Preferred Education
Advanced Degree a plus
