Managing Editor, GMA Video(GMA Digital)
Job Summary:
ABC News is hiring a Managing Editor, Video for the GMA Digital team.
Responsibilities:
The Managing Editor, Video is responsible for leading all aspects of the GMA video team, including managing GMA video franchises, coordinating video projects across the Walt Disney Company, and leading all co-production and branded video content planning.
This person will greenlight all video projects, in conjunction with the Managing Editor, GMA's, oversight.
The Managing Editor, Video is responsible for managing the GMA Digital video team, including assigning daily video assignments, greenlighting larger video projects, and delivering on-time for all co-production and branded content video projects. S/he is responsible for setting all workflows, managing the overall video production budget, and hitting revenue targets tied to co-production deals.
The Managing Editor, Video is responsible for responding to all creative video RFPs and communicating out the video editorial calendar to the sales and marketing teams. This person is expected to regularly innovate and deliver on new video ideas to help grow our branded content business.
This leader is a key member of the GMA Digital and overall ABC News senior leadership team, and is responsible for growing video audience across all platforms. S/he will be expected to be well-versed in digital video trends and innovate GMA video strategies appropriately while also communicating best practices to the Walt Disney Company leadership group as needed.
Basic Qualifications:
• Minimum of 7 years' work experience leading video teams at a digital media company
• Experience managing branded content campaigns
• Extensive experience producing video content for various digital platforms
• Proven experience growing a digital video audience
• Minimum of 3 years' experience managing teams
Preferred Qualifications:
• Three or more years experience producing digital video content for a lifestyle brand or morning news show
Required Education
Bachelor's degree or equivalent work experience.
