Job Summary:
Seeking bold, creative thinkers who function independently while acting in the best interests of the team, the Walt Disney Studios Marketing department develops dynamic and successful creative marketing campaigns to support the diverse content output from the Walt Disney Studio brands. The Manager, Creative Advertising is an integral role in a team, reporting to the VP of Creative Advertising.
Responsibilities:
• Assist Leader with the strategic planning, development and creative execution of audiovisual (A/V) advertising campaigns.
• Collaborate with & manage internal and external A/V agencies on creation of materials (trailers, tv ads, radio, out-of-home A/V, behind the scenes/featurettes, digital creative, clips, internal presentation reels, etc.) for features, episodic, multi-title, and brand campaigns.
• Oversee the A/V finishing process (creative, music, legal, and clearances) for advertising & creative content, providing final asset approvals and monitoring final delivery.
• Assist in campaign presentations to filmmakers, showrunners, studio executives, internal teams and external partners, as needed.
• Effectively manage and organize a high volume of incoming and outgoing materials (both rough and finished A/V, strategy decks, scripts, promotional partnership material, etc.) in a timely and secure manner.
• Analyze and manage asset requests and deadlines using best practices to communicate clearly with team members, executives, filmmakers, and showrunners across the marketing department, various studio groups and other business segments.
• Manage all aspects of vendor onboarding and maintenance: assets (picture, music, graphics, etc.), legal requirements, accounts payable set-up, invoice approvals and asset delivery methods.
• When required, oversee transfer of sensitive and confidential materials (including materials for filmmaker approval & legal clearances) enforcing security protocols.
• Communicate methods to improve workflow.
• Other projects, as assigned.
Basic Qualifications:
• 3-5 years of marketing/advertising experience required.
• 3-5 years of experience in the creation of A/V materials within the entertainment industry required.
Preferred Qualifications:
• A/V production and finishing experience/knowledge strongly preferred.
• Experience interfacing with high level executives, filmmakers, and showrunners a plus.
• Project management, understanding of financials and vendor management
• Feature and episodic marketing experience preferred.
• Passion for advertising, creativity, design and storytelling.
• Responds to tasks with urgency and maturity in both day-to-day and high-pressure situations.
• Represents the team in a cordial & professional manner when working with other offices, executives, and filmmakers, as well as business unit contacts and external partners.
• Organized with an acute eye for detail to maintain an efficient office including files, database architecture, and confidential information.
• Effectively problem solves and communicates using resources available while exercising good judgement and discretion.
• Experience in a fast-paced environment managing multiple projects at various degrees of completion simultaneously.
• Extended hours and/or weekends when special projects dictate.
• Consistently demonstrates proactive and resourceful abilities while working independently and/or on a team.
• Excellent written and verbal communications and interpersonal skills.
Preferred Education
• Bachelor's degree preferred in Marketing, Advertising, Communications, Cinema/Television or creative field.
This role is considered hybrid, which means the employee will work a portion of their time on-site from a Company designated location and the remainder of their time remotely.
