Associate Producer - Part Time, Gma
Job Summary:
Good Morning America is hiring a Part Time Associate Producer in the Field and Series Unit.
Responsibilities:
This Part Time GMA Associate Producer will work two nights per week: a 6pm shift on Friday, and Saturday nights. This Associate Producer is responsible for producing taped pieces primarily for Weekend GMA. Responsibilities include crash-scripting and crash-edit room producing both hard news and lighter feature pieces. Candidates in this role must be highly self-sufficient, excellent writers, and comfortable in the edit room. Previous crash producing experience is require.
Basic Qualifications:
• Candidates must have at least 2 years' experience in a news or breaking news environment.
• Candidates must have previous crash-producing experience.
• Strong research and writing skills are a must with ability to work under extreme deadlines.
• Must be proficient with digital shooting and editing.
Preferred Qualifications:
• At least 3 years' experience in a network news environment.
• Proven field producing and segment producing under tight deadline.
• DV shooting and Avid Editing is preferred. (Reel may be requested)
Required Education
• BA or equivalent work experience
Preferred Education
• Communications or Journalism Degree
