WABC-TV's News Media Manager/Editor will work closely with News Producers and Managers to ensure the timely production of newscasts and special projects.
Daily Hire is an employee hired to work daily with no requirement of a regular schedule.
Responsibilities:
• Manage media ingests, including digital file conversion and import, and upload and download media elements from third-party sources.
• Coordinate and manage content during live newscasts, including coordinating communication between technical and editorial managers.
• Edit for newscasts.
• Monitor live transmissions during newscasts as well as the news rundown.
Required Qualifications:
• Highly organized and comfortable working under tight deadlines while working on multiple overlapping projects.
• Proficient in non-linear editing techniques (Premiere preferred), computer literate, as well as experience with one or more newsroom systems such as AP ENPS, iNews or Dalet.
• Minimum of 3 years of television news editing experience and multiple years of experience working in a TV newsroom exercising editorial judgment
• Must be willing to work any shift and weekend days.
Required Education:
• High School Diploma or equivalent
Preferred Education:
• Bachelor's degree or equivalent work experience
The pay rate for this role in New York is $40.00 to $55.00 per hour.
