This is a Part Time Job
We are seeking an experienced and dedicated part-time Video Editor to join our news team. This role requires flexibility to work a varied schedule including early mornings, nights, weekends, and holidays.
Key Responsibilities:
• Utilize the Adobe Creative Suite, particularly Premiere, After Effects, and Photoshop to create and edit news content.
• Collaborate with the news team to ensure smooth and efficient news production.
• Manage and operate microwave and satellite signals, IFB, frame synchronizers, Dejero, and LiveU.
• Stay up-to-date with new and emerging newsgathering technologies.
Basic Qualifications
• Minimum 4 years of experience in a local television station news department.
• Proven ability to multitask in a high-pressure television news environment.
• Experience editing non-linear video using Adobe Premiere Pro.
• Strong understanding of video formats and codecs.
• Previous experience managing microwave and satellite signals, IFB, frame synchronizer, Dejero, and LiveU.
Preferred Qualifications
• Experience with Dalet Galaxy is a plus.
• Proficiency in the Adobe Creative Suite.
• Previous experience as a photojournalist is a plus.
Required Education
• High School Diploma or equivalent
The hiring range for this position in Glendale, CA is $24.3125 to $42.587 an hour based on a 29 hour work week. The amount of hours scheduled per week may vary based on business needs. The base pay actually offered will take into account internal equity and also may vary depending on the candidate's geographic region, job-related knowledge, skills, and experience among other factors. A bonus and/or long-term incentive units may be provided as part of the compensation package, in addition to the full range of medical, financial, and/or other benefits, dependent on the level and position offered.
