Major talent agency with offices in Los Angeles, New York & London is seeking a highly motivated individual to grow with our Motion Picture Literary division in our Los Angeles office.
Strong leadership qualities, excellent phone and communication skills, multi-tasking and versatility are invaluable in this role. A passion for theatre, film, and television as well as the talent agency world is key. Great opportunity to advance with intensive hands-on experience.
The Motion Picture Literary Coordinator is a crucial position which requires an individual to work well within a team and be prepared for a fast-paced and detail-oriented environment. This individual is expected to show resourcefulness, exhibit accountability, and understand their role well enough to work independently and demonstrate initiative. Talent management, casting or agency experience strongly preferred and interest in becoming a talent agent is essential.
Responsibilities:
• Project manage and execute projects with talent
• Run point on smaller negotiations and proactive outreach
• Identify potential new talent and supporting existing talent
• Cover relevant agencies, entertainment studios and ad buyers
• Coordinate and execute deliverables
• Help develop strategies, proposal materials and deal structures based on business objectives and Talent's interest and goals
• Liaise with development coordinators at studios and production companies on upcoming feature projects
• Draft and/or update contracts, eventually assisting in the redline process
• Show interest in and willingness to understand rates and negotiations
• Work with the accounting department and accounting software to ensure invoices are submitted accurately and on time
Qualifications:
• Must have 1-2 years of talent management, agency, production/casting experience
• Experience and understanding of writers, directors and producers' landscape strongly preferred
• Strong passion for film and working with writers and/or directors
• Proven ability to develop and effectively manage strong working relationships with young, emerging talent
• Strategic and creative thinker able to align department with overall company business goals
• Excellent interpersonal, organizational, communication (both written and verbal), and presentation skills
• Must be proactive, resourceful and efficient
• Ability to thrive in a dynamic, fast-paced environment with tight deadlines
