Major talent agency with offices in Los Angeles, New York & London is seeking a Client Accounting Coordinator to join our Client Accounting division in our Los Angeles office.
The Junior Accountant will be responsible for providing support to the accounting department by performing a variety of accounting duties including accounts payable, accounts receivable, expense reporting management, and other related tasks. The candidate must be a self-starter with excellent organizational and communication skills, and the ability to work in a fast-paced environment. This position will report directly to the Senior Director of Accounting.
Responsibilities:
• Process vendor invoices in Bill.com, ensuring accuracy and completeness of information.
• Review and code invoices to the appropriate general ledger accounts.
• Route invoices for approval and follow up with approvers as needed.
• Maintain vendor files and ensure accuracy of vendor information.
• Manage the accounts payable inbox and respond to vendor inquiries.
• Process expense reports in getdivvy.com, ensuring appropriate approvals, accuracy and completeness of information.
• Review and code expense reports to the appropriate general ledger accounts.
• Provide timely customer service to internal and external stakeholders.
• Review, process and journalize commissions received for subsidiary Big Spark Studios (BSS).
• Support other accounting projects and initiatives as needed.
Qualifications:
• BS/BA in Accounting or Finance with 1 to 2 years of relevant accounting experience preferred.
• Familiarity with GAAP accounting principles, both in theory and practical application.
• Experience using bill.com (or similar system) for accounts payable.
• Experience using GetDivvy.com (or similar system) to process expense reports.
• Strong organizational and time management skills.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and other accounting software.
• Intacct experience a plus.
Salary: $68,000 - $75,000, exempt
