This is a Full Time Job
A24 is seeking a team member to join the Distribution team based in NY or LA focused on expanding our footprint in grassroots outreach and community partnerships. This person will oversee and support all elements of grassroots outreach and subsequent earned media on projects across the company supporting the efforts of our film & TV projects as well as select brand initiatives.
Initial Responsibilities
Executing strategy for grassroots outreach for all projects to drive meaningful engagement, awareness, word-of-mouth and earned media impact across multiple A24 projects.
Executions might include:
• Partnership Screenings and Events
• Organizational Tie-Ins
• Conferences
• Securing social media and newsletter/eblast presence
• Securing opinion editorials and human interest press opportunities
Overseeing specialty agencies on all titles
Identifying and researching organizations and influencers in the grassroots space
Manage ongoing relationships with grassroots partners and A24 philanthropy partners locally, nationally and internationally
In partnership with Talent Strategy, develop and execute methods to educate staff on the key themes of projects to better serve the production and distribution process
Working closely with A24-U, identify opportunities for educational outreach and enhance the A24 footprint in the high school and college space
Managing talent and filmmaker communications on all things grassroots
Develop a long term strategy for how to enhance A24's ever expanding footprint in the Grassroots space
Be the driver and source of information on all organizational partnerships
Provide support to the Regional PR team on regional grassroots activations
Continue to find ways to streamline, organize and archive our grassroots efforts - create & maintain systems of organization (ie: Google Drive, Dropbox).
Ideal Candidate
3-5+ years relevant work experience, including in entertainment industry, non-profits or social impact sector
Relationships in the worlds of social justice, non-governmental organizations, politics, film and entertainment industries a plus
Results oriented executive with ability to multi-task and manage multiple project-specific colleagues
Creativity, resolve, flexibility and poise when engaging with difficult material and conversations
An informed perspective about the worlds of film, art, music and culture and a pulse on current events and politics
Strong communications skills
A flexible and adaptable schedule and a willingness to travel for work regularly
Team oriented- Humble, diligent and resourceful
