Director, Animated Series

A24 is looking for Directors for a new adult animated series.

RESPONSIBILITIES:
• Serve as the main point of contact between the Producers and the storyboard team, seeing through the creative vision for each script
• Break down script and thumbnail to provide a clear guide for your storyboard team
• Oversee and adjust storyboards and give notes at milestone phases throughout the schedule
• Take on scenes to help meet deadlines/expectations when needed
• Ability to seek a higher perspective on creative decisions with production considerations in mind
• Note rough designs submitted to ensure they fit the needs of the storyboard
• Interface with the multiple departments of production as needed
• Note and help package animatics for timing/staging/animation/delivery purposes

QUALIFICATIONS:
• 3+ years of experience directing in episodic animated television
• Must possess strong storyboarding skills
• Knowledge of 2D animation and a thorough understanding of a 2D production pipeline
• Proficient Knowledge of Storyboard Pro and Photoshop a must
• Strong communicator: ability to guide a unique group of creative staff
• Excellent organizational and project management skills

Covid-19 Update:
Production is currently planning for a remote start with the possibility of returning to an office setting if needed when it is safe to do so, with proper protocols in place.
