About Aware:
Aware is an umbrella company for Aware Records, A-Squared Management, and the Aware Rep Program.
1 – Aware Records: Aware Records signs new artists and releases their albums. Current artists on the Aware Records label roster include: Five For Fighting, Mat Kearney, Angel Taylor and Guster.
2 – A-Squared Management: A-Squared Management is a management company that works with artists on all aspects of their careers. Management clients are not signed to Aware Records (with the exception of Mat Kearney). A-Squared artists are Mat Kearney, Motion City Soundtrack, Anya Marina, Brandi Carlile, A Rocket To The Moon, Leslie, The Heyday, Vedera, The Lovell Sisters, Sing It Loud, This Providence and Jack's Mannequin.
3 – Aware Rep Program: The Rep Program is Aware’s best marketing source. Reps help spread the word about Aware Records and A-Squared Management artists, through a variety of street and online campaigns, as well as regular personal grass roots efforts.
About Aware internships:
An intern’s duties may include experience in:
• tour promotion
• radio promotion
• grassroots marketing
• retail marketing
• internet marketing
• publicity
• artist management
• A&R
• project management
Different interns focus on different projects and it all depends on what the current priorities are at the time.
You do not have to be a student to apply. College credit is available upon request.

Please email a one-page cover letter, one-page resume, and answers to the questions provided below. INCLUDE ALL DOCUMENTS AS ATTACHMENTS IN PDF OR DOC FORMAT. DO NOT INCLUDE THEM IN THE BODY OF THE EMAIL. The deadline for Spring 2010 applications is November 1st.
Questions:
1- Can you live in or around Evanston and work at an unpaid internship?
2 - How many days a week would you like to work (hours are 10am - 5pm, days are Monday through Friday)? We require our interns to work at least three days a week. The more you work, the more experience you gain.
3 - When can you start and when would you want the internship to end?
4 - Do you own any CDs released by Aware/A-Squared artists? Which ones?
5 - Why should you be an Aware intern?
