THE ROLE: VP, Current Executive
The Vice President, Current Television will lead and oversee all series currently in production across multiple buyers and platforms. This role exists to ensure that every show meets the highest creative and production standards while aligning with the Studio's strategic and commercial goals. The VP will serve as the central creative and operational liaison, providing feedback, managing internal and external relationships, and representing the Studio both internally and externally. This leader will play a key role in shaping creative teams for a show, guiding production internally, and elevating the Studio's profile in the marketplace.
MORE ABOUT WHAT YOU'LL DO:
• Oversee all shows in production across buyers and platforms – manage series from green light through delivery, ensuring creative quality and alignment with Studio strategy
• Provide creative notes and guidance – review scripts, cuts, and production materials to deliver constructive feedback that supports showrunners, writers, directors, and producers
• Manage internal and external relationships – act as primary liaison with network/studio partners, talent representatives, and internal divisions (marketing, PR, legal, etc.)
• Talent and team oversight – identify, hire, and collaborate with key creative and production personnel, including producers, writers, directors, and department heads
• Production and set presence – attend key shoots, table reads, and set visits as needed to represent the Studio and support creative execution
• Studio representation and advocacy – serve as a spokesperson and ambassador for the Studio at industry events, festivals, and panels to strengthen the brand and expand relationships.
BASIC REQUIREMENTS
• 15+ years of current executive and production experience in a major media environment
• Extensive relationships with top-level producers, content providers, and agents
• Track record of success in maintaining hit shows
• Strong leadership and motivational skills, with a demonstrated ability to build relationships
• Experience developing a diverse creative team on shows
• Experience managing a slate of multiple television projects simultaneously.
