As the biggest breadwinner for the company, we are continually searching for way to bring new dollars into the fold. Driven by strong creative and rooted in data and strategy, we provide advertisers with the valuable exposure they need in the specific markets they want to reach. So if you've got an aptitude for data and planning as well as a salesperson's drive, we'd like you under our big top. Extra points if you can juggle.
THE ROLE:
The program will consist of a rotation through key operating areas or projects relating to those areas within the advertising sales group at AETN. They will become a part of the daily process and help drive revenue while learning important skills and information about the media industry.
Some project areas are:
• Sales Prospecting
• Review major publications for client news and industry trends to share with the sales team
• Research geographic market areas for potential new clients
• Compile lists of clients in competitive programming
• Sales Execution
• Building out preparation documents for the Broadcast Upfront
• Help revise sales slides for scatter and upfront negotiations
• Systems
• Develop topline knowledge of system functions to help deliver reporting to agencies in a timely manner
YOUR STORY: [ BEHAVIORS]
• Rising junior, senior student currently enrolled at an accredited college/university and legally eligible to work in the U.S. may apply.
• Knowledge of Word, Excel, PowerPoint and social media are strongly preferred
• A grade point average above a 3.0 in a high-quality liberal arts or business degree study program
• Strong interest in the business aspects and media management
