THE ROLE: Senior Production System Engineer
The primary role of this position is to provide mission critical technical support for the Stamford Digital Media Production Facility. You will be part of a highly focused team whose primary responsibilities include the support of the Production, Content Delivery and Broadcast Operations teams. Effective communication with all business partners and engineering teams is crucial for all aspects of the position.

The Stamford Digital Media Facility utilizes technology solutions from the following industry partners: Telestream Vantage and other Telestream supporting products; IBM's suite of Aspera applications, Enterprise, Orchestrator, Console, Shares, and Cloud solutions; Adobe's suite of cloud-based applications; IPV MAM applications; EMC Isilon Storage; Diva Archiving solution; Spectra Logic and Quantum data storage solutions. Additionally, support for traditional baseband technologies including video routers, tape decks, monitors, and audio/video scopes is essential.
This position's responsibilities encompass performing upgrades, expansions, system administration and taking a proactive approach towards failure recovery by monitoring systems to identify issues before they surface. The primary goal is to ensure that the facility is fully operational, 24/7, so that the media content systems generate assets for all On-Air and OTT workflows.
This position requires taking the lead on projects as assigned by the department head and works closely with the Engineering Project Management Director. Project assignments are determine based upon aligning the right resources with the project scope to ensure a successful implementation. This role is responsible for specification, design, development and implementation of solutions that meet our business partners needs as well as those that are engineering driven. The individual works closely with fellow engineers, management, and the business partners to develop new processes, technologies and techniques which will help to improve the operational efficiency of the facility.
This role is required to support deployment of the physical and virtual infrastructure as necessary to sustain various business initiatives. Rack mounting or workstation construction, cabling and detailed documentations skills are essential to facilitate effective results with internal teams as well as technology partners. The engineer should demonstrate a high level of knowledge concerning all aspects of the broadcast technology as it relates to the task at hand.

• Minimum BS in Engineering/Computer Sciences and a minimum of 5 years as a Production Systems Engineer
• Strong knowledge of Windows 10 /2012-16 server
• Strong knowledge of Mac OSX, Linux
• Knowledgeable of VMWare environments
• Strong Adobe application knowledge
• Familiarity with Networking Systems best practices
• Audio/Video Formats knowledge
• 5-7 years' experience in Production System Engineering
