THE ROLE: Senior Production System Engineer
The primary role of this position is to technically support the Stamford Production Facility. In addition, this position will take on a lead role in projects when assigned by department managers. Areas of responsibility in the Stamford Facility also include support for Baseband and File-based Video processing equipment as required by the Network Operations, Content Distribution, Post Production and Media Archive teams.

The Stamford Facility uses Telestream Vantage and other Telestream supporting products; IBM's Aspera Orchestrator Enterprise, Console, Shares; Adobe products; Miranda Nvision video Router; Signiant Agents; Isilon Storage; Front Porch Archiving solution, IPV Media Asset Management System, Cisco Switches, Palo Alto Firewall, F5 Load Balancers, etc. in order to produce content for On-Air and CDNs consumption. This position's responsibility is to maintain the functionalities of these systems so that materials are delivered in a timely manner. A proactive approach towards maintenance (for instance, monitoring systems, to catch problems before they surfaced) to reduce downtime is expected from this position. In addition, this position requires the engineer to interpret, correlate, and isolate and correct alarm conditions. Communication with the business partners before technical work is executed is a necessity.
Projects are assigned to this position and the role of this position is to lead these projects to completion by working closely with fellow engineers, management, and the business partners. Cable fabrication and installation, as well as rack mounting equipment are part and parcel to completing assigned projects. Configure and test systems in a well-organized and diligent manner, creating roll out plans and utilizing documentations to define and track progress are also responsibilities of this position. Upon completion of any project the engineer must update all appropriate documentation
This role is also responsible for installing and maintaining all audio and video equipment. The engineer must be familiar with SDI video including waveform/vectorscope/audio monitoring, signal routing and videotape deck operation. In addition, this position requires the capability of reading and understanding schematics and technical manuals in order to effectively follow installation instructions. This includes performing regular firmware and hardware updates. The engineers must be extremely knowledgeable regarding all broadcast technology in order to effectively care for equipment and ensure that it does not fail.

• Minimum BS in Computer Sciences or minimum of 5 years as a Post-Production engineer
• Strong knowledge of Windows 7, 10, /2012-16 server
• Strong knowledge of Mac OSX, Linux
• Participate in design/production meetings with management and business partners
• Strong Adobe Application knowledge
• Audio/Video Formats knowledge
• Ability to read audio/video scopes
• Experience with Networking Systems
• Computer systems
• 5-7 Production System Engineering
