Division StoryProduction Operations and Engineering consists of a wide range of media centric roles. We are responsible for managing the entire life cycle of A E's programming. Job Description
THE ROLE: Senior Associate Producer
The Senior Associate Producer for Content Creation Group (CCG) serves as a central operational lead. Reporting directly to CCG's executive leadership, this role co-leads Associate Producers (APs) in coordinating all episodes in development and production.
The Senior Associate Producer ensures projects move seamlessly from concept through final network delivery, on schedule, within budget, and in alignment with Global Rights and Production Operations standards. This position requires strong production management, technical fluency, cross-functional collaboration, and leadership across multiple concurrent projects.
MORE OF WHAT YOU'LL DO:
Production Operations & Workflow Management
• Coordinate all episodes across development, production, and post-production stages, ensuring timely and budget-conscious delivery.
• Create and maintain archival and project-based tracking systems within Air Table.
• Help manage scheduling of episode tasks, workflows, and team responsibilities.
• Troubleshoot production delays, workflow inefficiencies, and automation issues.
• Ensure Air Table systems are properly integrated and aligned with Global Rights and Production Operations partners.
• Collaborate with Production Operations to remove excess or outdated editing projects from internal systems.
Media Asset & Post-Production Coordination
• Oversee ordering, tracking, and delivery of all media assets required for assigned projects, including:
• Support scheduling of talent, studios, crew, recording, and mixing sessions.
• Provide post-production oversight as needed to ensure final delivery standards are met.
Team Leadership & Development
• Mentor APs across all active series and enhanced content projects.
• Co-lead weekly team meetings to review production priorities and reinforce collaborative workflows.
• Serve as CCG's Air Table lead, troubleshooting support for Producers, Editors, APs, and PAs.
Recruitment & Onboarding
• Participate in recruitment efforts for the Internal Production Support Team.
• Develop and lead structured onboarding programs, including:
• Creation of SOPs and step-by-step production guidelines
• Office systems training (Outlook, Teams, workflow platforms)
• Air Table training and daily workflow integration
• Development of tutorial materials and instructional videos for production tools and series-specific processes
Reporting & Administrative Oversight
• Track monthly hours for 3PPW employees per series and ensure reporting accuracy.
• Update Air Table automations and reporting workflows to ensure leadership visibility.
• Develop quantitative analytics reports outlining monthly and annual production output, efficiencies, and growth metrics for presentation to senior leadership.
BASIC REQUIREMENTS:
• Minimum 3+ years of production or post-production experience within a studio, network, or in-house production environment.
• Bachelor's degree in Television Production, Communications, or related field (or equivalent professional experience).
• Strong working knowledge of production workflows and post-production technology, including nonlinear editing platforms, video/audio standards, and file formats.
• Intermediate proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and Air Table.
• Demonstrated ability to manage multiple concurrent projects with strong organizational discipline.
• Collaborative, solution-oriented mindset with strong communication skills.
• Basic video editing skills are a plus but not required.
