THE ROLE: Senior Manager Media Operations
This role reports to Broadcast Operations in Stamford Ct. This management position leads the Media Operations team and oversees the scheduling of daily tasks and employee oversite and general management of the Media Operations staff. This role provides oversite for the delivery of Promotions and Adsales interstitial content from Production Operations. He/She serves as the primary point of contact regarding file-based delivery, workflows and discrepancies. This person will meet with Production Operations managers periodically to ensure the Broadcast Media team and the Production Operations team communicate issues and concerns efficiently.
MORE ABOUT WHAT YOU'LL DO:
• Manage, oversee and be the primary point of contact for all commercial delivery vendors (short and long form). Serve as the primary contact for any questions, concerns or changes the commercial vendor may have to their file-based delivery workflow and delivery process.
• Serve as the primary contact for the Adsales team during the commercial vendor on-boarding process. Responsible for the creation of the File-based Delivery Specifications Fact sheet. When on-boarding a new commercial delivery, vendor ensure they adhere to A+E's file-based delivery specifications. Work with vendor(s) to setup file-based delivery applications such as Aspera Shares or Dropbox to localize the files. Work closely with engineering to setup workflows in Telestream's Vantage system to transcode files to ensure successful deliveries to Encompass Digital Media for ingest.
• Troubleshoot any file-based delivery discrepancies and resolve them to ensure broadcast continuity. Work with commercial vendors to upgrade workflows to ensure maximum file-based delivery efficiencies. Oversee the delivery of promotions and Adsales interstitial content from Production Operations. Serve as the primary point of contact regarding file-based delivery, workflows and discrepancies.
• Oversee the delivery of the daily Program Missing Llist. The Program Missing List is sent daily to inform Post Production and Broadcast Operations the status of any programs schedule for the next day air.
• Work with the finance department on the Broadcast Operations budget, forecast, reforecast and accruals. Review and approve any accounts payable requests via Concur for the Broadcast Operations team.
• Send out the weekly Weekend and Afterhours Emergency Contact list and make any necessary adjustments to the list.

• Bachelor's degree in Communications, Film, Television or related field
• Solid oral and written communication skills
• Both an analytical and creative thinking mind-set
