THE ROLE: Senior Director, Enterprise PMO We want all members of the team to show up every day with a passion for their job and care that it gets done well. This role serves an important function at A E Networks and will lead a team of professionals that will provide support for enterprise initiatives as well as technology projects. This role will partner with Technology and Business Stakeholders to ensure we deliver best-in-class solutions that have meaningful impact. As the Sr. Director, Enterprise PMO, you will have the opportunity to lead a PMO that is expanding the scope of services to provide project, process, and strategy implementation support to the enterprise while continuing to improve the delivery framework for Technology and Operations. More specifically, you will partner to extend a project management discipline and framework to improve outcomes on various types of initiatives across the company such as technology implementations, adoption and execution of process improvement efforts, and working with leadership to design and drive execution plans for strategy implementation. You should be comfortable working in matrix structures and capable of bringing order to entropy while ensuring consensus is reached between competing stakeholder groups to avoid decision paralysis. We are looking for an individual that has the following skills: Be a hands-on leader that is comfortable operating and interacting at all levels Be able to drive implementation of strategy while monitoring and tracking these initiatives to ensure intended value is achieved Manage the annual planning and prioritization exercise to balance project requests with capacity Enhance day-to-day operations, vendor services & support, and bring optimization and enrichment to all portfolios and projects under the EPMO Formulate and establish best practices and standards for the PMO organization that complements and serves A E's global growth, international expansion, as well as support of any regulatory and compliance efforts Work cross-functionally with internal staff and consultants to promote collaboration and partnership in identifying opportunities to optimize the delivery of projects at A E Networks Create and maintain a collaborative culture that is considerate of user experience, organizational needs, and global scale Manage the project management toolset and ensure standards are adhered to in usage within the department Coordinate internal and external audits and track compliance working in conjunction with Divisional stakeholders MORE ABOUT WHAT YOU'LL DO: Responsible for day-to-day management and oversight of the EPMO Responsible for ensuring the skill set for project assignments align to the needs for the initiative Be able to assess talent levels, group dynamics, and work product to provide constructive feedback to optimize overall delivery Be able to influence without authority working within a matrixed organization. Minimize complexity and ambiguity to add clarity to help improve the success of engagements Create executive level portfolio reviews that bring visibility and link strategy to execution Ability to set clear expectations with vendors/stakeholders and get commitments on deliverables Develop a broad perspective on the organization and be able to use that knowledge to develop new strategies, manage contingencies, and provide guidance and direction to staff Governance and oversight of departmental unit and regional / international PMO departments Provide leadership with vital information of project, program and portfolio health allowing them to appropriately govern portfolios Ensures that investments and initiatives in project management services are aligned with business strategy and priorities. Continue to enhance the framework and methodology for proposing, approving, and reviewing projects and programs Partner with leadership to develop resourcing strategies and budgets that align to expected levels of support for portfolios or initiatives Engages with cross-functional business leaders to objectively analyze the organization's ability to absorb change as well as adopt implemented projects or processes Continues to mature the project management practice at A E Networks and ensure balance is achieved between governance and progress Be willing and able to adapt and pivot to changes in timeline but also balance those changes with an appropriate change management discipline Assist as necessary to help craft business cases for initiatives Establish effective communication and change management plans for all initiatives WHAT YOU'LL LEARN: On our team, you'll have the opportunity to innovate. YOUR STORY: Bachelors degree in Business, Communications, Computer Science, or a related discipline or equivalent experience 12 years progressive project, program and portfolio team leadership experience with proven experience in implementing major change initiatives and strategy implementation PMP certification with knowledge of Agile and SDLC Project Methodology. Experience in building PMO organizations Experience leading successful large-scale projects and programs across an enterprise utilizing external providers, offshore resources, and internal staff. Financial acumen and budgeting Experience building high performing teams by promoting values, ideas and achieving consensus as well as coaching and mentoring skills. Excellent interpersonal and communication skills Ability to work effectively with all levels of staff within the organization Desired: International exposure to business and technology teams working in EMEA and APAC
