THE ROLE: Sr. Director, Enterprise PMO

As the Sr. Director, PMO, you should be able to work autonomously to manage your team and projects, while delivering on time and within budget, as well as:
• Be a hands-on leader that has experience operating in the details as well as at a higher level based on the situation
• Own strategic planning as well as tactical and flawless execution, capacity planning and overall project support for the enterprise.
• Oversee day-to-day operations, vendor services & support, and continued optimization and enrichment of all portfolios and projects.
• Formulate and establish best practices and standards for the PMO organization that complements and serves A E's global growth, international expansion, as well as support of any regulatory and compliance efforts.
• Work cross-functionally and interact with internal and external staff and consultants to promote collaboration and partnership in identifying strategies to optimize the delivery of projects at A E Networks.
• Create and maintain a culture of innovation that is considerate of user experience, organizational needs, and global scale.
MORE ABOUT WHAT YOU'LL DO:
• Responsible for day to day management and oversight of the EPMO, its employees and contractors, and budget
• Able to assess talent levels, group dynamics, and work product in order to provide constructive feedback to optimize delivery
• Establish a team with a consultative mindset and a methodical approach to operational or technical challenges in the delivery of projects
• Eliminate complexity and ambiguity in projects to ensure clarity and establish goals and expectations for engagement
• Clearly present solutions, proposals and progress to multiple levels of stakeholders within the organization. Create executive level presentations for solutions and business cases as necessary
• Excellent oral and written communication skills
• Ability to set clear expectations with vendors as well as stakeholders and get firm commitments on deliverables as well as associated delivery dates
• Skilled negotiator with the ability to influence direction without direct oversight
• Develop a broad perspective on the organization and be able to use that knowledge to develop new strategies, manage contingencies, and provide guidance and direction to the PMO staff
• Strong leadership acumen including the ability to build and mentor a cohesive unit capable of tackling small and large initiatives
• Governance and oversight of departmental unit and regional / international PMO departments. This is inclusive of the portfolio and program management governance methodologies
• Provides senior executives with vital information of project, program and portfolio health allowing them to appropriately govern the project portfolios
• Responsible for day to day management and oversight of the EPMO, its employees and contractors, and budget
• Governance and oversight of departmental unit and regional / international PMO departments. This is inclusive of the portfolio and program management governance methodologies
• Provides senior executives with vital information of project, program and portfolio health allowing them to appropriately govern the project portfolios
• Ensures that investments and initiatives in project management services are aligned with business strategy and priorities.
• Develop framework and methodology for proposing, approving, and reviewing projects and programs
• Manages multiple portfolios of project and program management services including analysis, execution and delivery of projects across the enterprise.
• Monitors the delivery of business objectives and client experience for PMO services.
• Partners with IT and business unit leaders to develop project and program resourcing strategies to ensure optimum support for projects and daily operational activities.
• Engages with cross-functional business leaders to objectively analyze the organization's ability to absorb change, adopt project and programs, and measure Return on Success.
• Provides clear and concise communication of portfolio, program and project management to all stakeholders in business & IT units
• Serves as the overall subject-matter expert in Project Management knowledge areas.
• Establish a program to ensure utilization and maturation of best practice project management standards and methodologies.
• Manage Technology Team space needs within the NY office.

YOUR STORY: [ BEHAVIORS] (what you need to have)
• Bachelors or Master's degree in Business, Communications, Computer Science, or a related discipline
• 12 years progressive project, program and portfolio team leadership experience with proven experience in implementing major change initiatives
• PMP certification with extensive knowledge of Agile and SDLC Project Methodology.
• Experience in building PMO organizations
• Experience leading successful large-scale projects and programs across an enterprise utilizing external providers, offshore resources, and internal staff.
• Financial acumen
• Experience building high performing teams by promoting values, ideas and achieving consensus as well as coaching and mentoring skills.
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills and proven ability to work effectively with all organizational levels

• International business experience and in working with diverse international teams
