THE ROLE: Senior Business Analyst, Research Solutions

A&E Television Networks, LLC seeks a Senior Business Analyst, Research Solutions in New York.

Responsibilities
include performing analysis and documentation of user requirements, troubleshooting issues, application support, and project management efforts; establishing new solutions and/or enhancements for customers to automate processing for improvement of existing business processes and associated information systems for Ad Sales Research team; liaising with Ad Sales Research client users and IT solution delivery team to provide system solutions for Linear and Digital Ad Sales and programming Research; implementing support for business functions using Ad Sales and Research business processes, including Ad Sales and Nielsen rating data; supporting Ad Sales and Traffic vendor applications (Gabriel and WideOrbit), and vendor application (Nielsen and Star Media Systems); providing the advertising sales support and path-to-air workflow to troubleshot systems disruptions that may directly impact revenue; communicating with manager, business users and IT team regarding all events associated with given projects; and resolving issues and roadblocks to support end-user and prevent technical limitations.

Must have a Bachelor's degree or foreign academic equivalent in Computer Science or related field plus five (5) years of experience in the job offered or in an alternative occupations such as Software Engineer, or related IT business analysis and applications role. The employer will accept any suitable combination of education, training, or experience.

Must also have experience with each of the following skills:
• Developing SQL scripts to query databases for reporting and analytical purposes
• Creating project plans for key Ad Sales and Research systems initiatives, using MS project;
• Creating business workflows for key Ad Sales and Research systems projects, using MS Visio;
• Supporting Ad Sales and Traffic vendor applications, i.e. Gabriel and WidOrbit; and
• Utilizing research vendor applications such as Nielsen, IPSOS, TAM/WAM and/or BARC systems.
