Full Time Job
Reporting to the Head of Programming and Production, the ideal candidate is an expert in TV media and other related media/consumer research with a background from broadcast networks, research agencies or media agencies. You will be responsible for strategically analyzing audience demographics, consumption trends. Primarily working with the Program Scheduling Team you will provide insights on TV ratings measurements, enabling them to draw correlations and hypotheses on audience tastes, viewing habits and areas of opportunities and strategy. You will also extend your reach and insights to other available platforms such as the web and social media to glean further insights for content positioning and market trends, promotional marketing messages and campaign success. You are someone who has a high degree of flexibility, can operate effectively in a very fast moving environment, and has a strong ability to multi-task under minimal supervision. You must be able to prioritize multiple assignments and be extremely detail oriented.

Responsibilities:
• Analyzing TV measurement ratings for South East Asia for an in-depth understanding of viewership patterns, program demographic skews and competitor advantages, understand competitor channels and market influences and their impact on the A E Networks Channel feeds - identifying weaknesses & opportunities in the television schedules of our channels
• Work closely with Heads of Programming from Factual and Lifestyle & Entertainment Teams in the acquisition and premiere roll out of titles from the A E catalogue, as well as third party acquisitions, building knowledge of the programming library and how best to utilize program assets for the local market
• Broadly track trends on local television channels, Social Wit and social media to spot current trends to gain a holistic understanding and approach to programming tastes and viewer habits across the channels
• Gather insights for comparison to our content and promotional plans, forecasting competitive periods and seasonal changes scheduling required
• Actively engage in idea generation for new productions based on trends and analytics gathered from experience with the Content Development and Ad Sales Teams
• Share relevant insights on audience psychographics with relevant departments
• Work with Research to develop a full understanding of ratings information and impact on the schedule.
Qualification Requirements
• Degree in Business Management, Market Research, Engineering, related or equivalent
• Ability to think creatively and to devise innovative research techniques
• Proficiency in data analysis and interpretation of media/marketing information is necessary
• Attention to details, organized, a competitive spirit and passion for television – with a critical eye for television viewing habits.
• At least 5 years relevant experience in audience analysis, ratings measurements, media consumption habits.
• A solid understanding of the viewing trends and cultures of key countries in Asia
• Self-motivating, demonstrating initiative, autonomous while still being collaborative and open-minded. Strong ability to analyze raw data, understanding how to draw conclusions and communicate key insights and takeaways.
• Able to communicate clearly in spoken and written English.
