Job Description THE ROLE: Programming Coordinator, Lifestyle Programming (Temporary) The Lifestyle Programming Coordinator will be a temporary role for someone with a passionate interest in media. WHAT YOU'LL LEARN: You'll gain experience by having the opportunity to be immersed in Programming: (development, production and scheduling). This coordinator role is primarily focused on assisting production and development. You will experience the life cycle of television series from pitch to development, greenlight and full-scale production. You will participate in both internal and external development and pitch meetings. Upon launch of the program, you will have an active hand in the 360 degrees that surrounds the success of Programming – from Press, to Marketing, Social and Digital. With scheduling roles, you gain specialized experience in working to maximize ratings across affiliated networks and platforms. The role will also be on the frontlines with acquisition vendors and suppliers and work closely with our internal production company to ensure additional content is delivered, scheduled and tracked in a timely manner and serves the needs of the platform. MORE ABOUT WHAT YOU'LL DO: Assist the program greenlight process by compiling information and organizing monthly series and Development approval documents. Support as assigned with some administrative functions, including calendar scheduling, travel arrangement, asset tracking, note taking and expenses. Screen and log programs from A E Archive for use in pitches, proposals, enhancements and specials. Create ad-hoc department presentations. Work to track and disseminate competitive information. Field miscellaneous requests from production companies and internal departments. YOUR STORY: 1-2 years' post college experience in the media business is preferred but we encourage upcoming 2022 or recent graduates to apply. Network or Production company experience is highly preferred. Knowledge or experience in content development or production is highly preferred. You might be the right candidate if: Have a keen interest in lifestyle programming – eg: Home, Food, Auto, etc. Love working with a team Have technical Skills: Microsoft Suite (Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint) & Google Docs You are social media savvy and keep up with lifestyle programming trends, tracking for potential development swings Have strong multi-tasking skills and feel comfortable working in a fast-paced environment You identify issues, anticipate needs, proactively recommend solutions to problems, and communicate to leaders You are a fast learner who can work independently, efficiently and are able to meet deadlines and/or proactively communicate challenges or obstacles to doing so You embrace and incorporate different viewpoints and perspectives Compensation Contract Hourly Pay Rate: $31.00 *The pay rate displayed serves as a good faith estimate for this role.
