Job Description
THE ROLE: Accounting Clerk
The Accounting Clerk provides administrative and accounting support to the Production Accounting team across multiple productions. This role is responsible for managing Cashet reconciliations, funding activities, payroll tracking, budget entry, and general accounting support to ensure accurate and timely financial reporting. The position serves as a key resource in maintaining production financial records and assisting with day-to-day accounting operations. The Accounting Clerk collaborates with production accountants to support efficient financial processes and compliance with company procedures.
MORE ABOUT WHAT YOU'LL DO:
• Manage Cashet reconciliations, perform Cashet envelope audits, and import transactions into accounting systems to support accurate cost reporting.
• Administer Cashet funding requests, maintain Cashet card records, and monitor cash activity to ensure proper financial controls.
• Maintain and update weekly payroll tracking grids, ensuring payroll information is accurate and complete for production accounting review.
• Enter and verify production budgets within designated accounting and reporting systems.
• Assist with accounts payable data entry, invoice processing, and provide general accounting support across productions as needed.
BASIC REQUIREMENTS:
• Bachelor's degree in accounting, Finance, Business, or a related field is a plus
• 1–3 years of accounting, bookkeeping, payroll, finance, or administrative experience, preferably within entertainment, media, production, or related industries.
• Basic understanding of accounting principles, accounts payable processes, and financial recordkeeping.
• Experience working with spreadsheets and financial data, including proficiency in Microsoft Excel.
• Strong attention to detail with the ability to accurately process and reconcile financial information.
• Excellent organizational and time management skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills.
• Experience with production accounting systems, Cashet, payroll tracking, or entertainment industry accounting is preferred.
• Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment
• Ability to adapt to evolving technologies and business processes, including the use of AI and automation solutions within accounting and finance workflows.
