THE ROLE: Producer, Content Creation Temp
A+E Networks prides itself on innovative storytelling that resonates with our viewers and makes a difference in their lives. Producers in our Content Creation group combine creative talent with a firm foundation in production best practices to produce high quality unscripted content including best of's, compilations, enhancements, re-brands and updates.
This full-time position in our Stamford CT facility reports to the Managing Producer in our Post Production team. Our team is made up of seasoned production professionals who combine passion for our brands with an eager approach to new opportunities and challenges. While budgets can be small and turnaround times are sometimes short, we take pride in making a lot from a little to produce broadcast quality content.
MORE ABOUT WHAT YOU'LL DO:
• Candidates for this position must be energetic, inventive and able to pivot with the needs of the business as new projects and initiatives arise. Evening or weekend shifts may be required depending on project requirements and deadlines.
• Great storytelling skills – you know what it takes to create engaging unscripted content, and love the full breadth of the production process from the first seed of an idea through research, field production, writing and editing.
• Fantastic communication skills – you'll collaborate closely with our editors, creative partners and internal teams. You must be able to communicate with clarity and tact to support those relationships, and be comfortable receiving and applying creative feedback.
• Strong organizational skills – successful productions live and die on the strength of their planning and organization. You're able to proactively prioritize, multi-task and manage time to ensure that project deliverables are submitted and approved by expected deadlines.
• Solid technical foundation – your love for television production includes knowledge of and appreciation for the tools of the trade, including cameras and field production, nonlinear editing and audio recording and mixing. You understand technical fundamentals including video and audio standards and formats and can apply that knowledge to your projects and deliverables
WHAT YOU'LL LEARN:

Collaborate and brainstorm with Programming, Scheduling, Digital and Legal to name just a few of the stakeholders in our organization. Challenge your creative spirit and traditional tried and true approaches to bringing ideas to life and embrace technological advances to producing and delivering award winning content and sharing globally.
YOUR STORY: [+BEHAVIORS] (what you need to have)
• 5 - 10 years production/post-production experience creating unscripted/reality/factual content in a cable or network environment or content production company.
• Collaborative and team oriented approach
• Bachelor's degree in Television Production/Communication or equivalent.
• Working Knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite, Adobe Creative Suite, Avid Media Composer and Plug-ins
