Job Description
THE ROLE: Coordinator, Post Production Operations (Temporary)
A+E Post Production Operations is seeking a detail-oriented and proactive Post Production Operations Coordinator to join our team on a freelance basis. This role is integral to supporting crew scheduling, production workflows, and acting as the primary point of contact for post-production and production partners. The coordinator will translate client requests into actionable tasks using internal and external post-production resources. This position requires a professional comfortable in a fast-paced environment producing content for broadcast, digital, and emerging platforms. Reports to Senior Supervising Producer.
Freelance, Non-Exempt, Hourly (35 hours/week)
Work Schedule: Monday–Friday, 9:30 AM–5:30 PM EST
MORE ABOUT WHAT YOU'LL DO:
Crew Scheduling:
• Manage daily schedules for post-production crews using Microsoft Teams Shifts, Airtable , and other tools.
• Coordinate backfill and project-based support as needed.
Freelance Crew Administration:
• Handle recruiting, scheduling interviews, and processing new hires, extensions, and terminations.
Production Support:
• Oversee preparation and delivery for internal and external editing projects.
• Schedule and administer voice-over (VO) and audio mix sessions, including VO auditions and vendor onboarding.
Collaboration and Protocol:
• Liaise with support teams to ensure adherence to facility protocols, such as AVID project naming, asset sourcing, and delivery.
• Manage duplication and tape floor requests between partners and the tech operations team.
Asset Management:
• Handle ingest and archival requests, including asset identification and trafficking.
• Publish production plans for the post-production reformatting team.
System and Resource Management:
• Manage virtual Premiere stations and orchestrate resources, systems, and personnel to accommodate shifting priorities.
Additional Support:
• Assist with credit s and graphics requests for editing sessions.
YOUR STORY:
Experience:
• Minimum of 3+ years in a high-volume production or post-production environment, preferably with broadcast deliverables and clients.
Technical and Soft Skills:
• Proficiency with scheduling and administrative software (e.g., Airtable , Xytech MediaPulse , Wrike).
• Knowledge of media file formats, file transfer platforms, and file management workflows.
• Familiarity with corporate communication tools (Outlook, Teams, G-Suite, etc.).
• Highly organized, self-driven, and able to manage multiple priorities under pressure.
• Strong communication skills with the ability to convey information clearly and concisely.
• Excellent customer service, critical thinking, and attention to detail.
Flexibility:
• Willingness to work flexible hours to meet production and team coverage needs.
• Openness to learning new tools and processes , participate in cross-training as business needs require, and balance growth with daily responsibilities
Please note project assignment associates are engaged to provide service to A+E Networks on a temporary basis in connection with a specific project. Project assignment associates are hired and employed through a third party vendor with a duration/tenure of no longer than eighteen (18) months.
CompensationContract Hourly Pay Rate: $25.00
The pay rate displayed serves as a good faith estimate for this role.
