That's probably because we oversee many of the more quietly glamorous, back-office functions that drive our bottom line. We not only forecast, build and manage budgets, we also collect and analyze important data that helps leadership make the best decisions. All of this sounds exciting to you because you love numbers and spreadsheets, and especially love great entertainment.
THE ROLE: Payroll Production Accountant (Temporary)
The Payroll Production Accountant will be responsible for accurate financial tracking and accounting of Six West and Category Six Media unscripted productions. This role will be focused on payroll management and general ledger activity, and will have a direct line of reporting to corporate finance and accounting.
MORE ABOUT WHAT YOU'LL DO:
• Manage Entertainment Partners related payroll for both series in production and development projects
• Work with production team to set-up new show-based employees on Entertainment Partners platforms, Smart Start and Smart Time
• Act as key financial liaison between production group, accounting team and labor client Entertainment Partners
• Assist with maintaining general ledgers for multiple long-form productions and prepare general ledger entries
• Work with senior finance team on ad hoc projects related to production cost accounting
• Serve as back up for accounts payable function (invoices, Cashet, vendor set up)
• Cross train responsibilities with other team members

YOUR STORY:
• 1-6 Years of Production Accounting Experience
• Experience with payroll and standard production labor partners (i.e. Entertainment Partners) required
• Experience with Smart Start, Smart Accounting and Global Vista a plus
• Ability to manage cost reports, including ability to explain variances to production team and line producers
• Excellent general ledger management and reconciliation skills
• Can work well in a group of other accountants
• Excellent communication skills
